YPU Thailand brings Yoruba people and friends of Yoruba culture together in unity

Yoruba Progressive Union in Thailand is a community-focused association that brings Yoruba people and friends of Yoruba culture together. We aim to support members' wellbeing, encourage positive engagement, and represent our community with dignity.

We collaborate with members, partners, and local communities to promote cultural exchange and practical support for Yoruba people living in Thailand.

Our leadership

Our union is led by experienced Yoruba community members who volunteer their time and expertise. The leadership team ensures transparency, accountability, and fair representation of all members.

  • President: Provides overall direction and represents the union externally.
  • Secretary: Manages communications, records, and coordination.
  • Treasurer: Oversees financial accountability and member dues.
  • Welfare Officer: Supports members in need and organizes community assistance.

Our members come from across Yorubaland — Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, Osun, Ondo, Ekiti, Kwara, and Kogi states. We are professionals, students, entrepreneurs, artisans, and families who share a common heritage and a commitment to supporting one another in Thailand.
